Proposal Manager

What You’ll Be Doing:   

  • Responsible for leading and managing the proposal development process in response to RFQ’s and RFP’s across the state of Texas   
  • Involved in preparatory efforts for pursuits including developing partnerships and clients, tracking procurement opportunities, and providing guidance on or participating in pre-proposal intelligence gathering efforts   
  • Provide input into McKissack’s knowledge management system, capture best practices and lessons learned for future business development efforts    
  • Lead the development efforts that include volume leads, technical writers, graphics and production    
  • Develop the compliance matrix and the proposal outline and ensure completion of data calls to team members    
  • Hold regular progress reviews to track status of section writing assignments and other proposal actions assigned   
  • Ensure the proposal is compliant with ALL RFP and RFQ requirements, ensure that proposal production and delivery activities occur    
  • Develop win themes, review RFPs with Capture Managers to ensure the firm addresses all requirements    
  • Lead regional proposal development meetings, and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop language, retrieve and analyze data, and compile, design, and create supporting documents to meet qualifications or enhance responses   
  • Assist with developing base draft pitch and sales documents for national business development team, execute requested edits to documents, and provide support in finalizing documents   
  • Assist in creating, sales presentations, manage the development process and preparation, and coordinate delivery of sales presentations and all supporting documents   
  • Create graphics for proposals, executive summaries, and sales presentations   
  • Recommend processes for improvement, manage special projects, and update knowledge database and marketing tracking system            

What We Are Looking For:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred or equivalent experience    
  • Minimum 10 years of proposal management experience    
  • Experience responding to RFPs, etc. as well as creating presentations and marketing collateral   
  • Complete understanding of the proposal process, from planning stages to production   
  • Experience completing SF 330s, SF 254s and SF 255s   
  • Proficiency in writing and editing.    
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Visio, and strong graphics skills for presentations and proposals is required   
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment as well as managing multiple projects that may require delegating tasks   
  • Comfortable responding to various RFPs for projects throughout the nation   
  • Good eye for design and composition   
  • Superior oral and written communication skills   
  • Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills   
  • Superior prioritization and organizational skills   
  • Strong interpersonal skills   
  • Experience in the Program & Construction Management or professional services industry required   
  • Proficiency with social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) a plus
