Brandon Smolen is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 15 years of experience across three diverse industries. Known for his strategic leadership and people-first approach, Brandon has a proven track record of transforming organizational cultures, optimizing HR practices, and building high-performing teams. His expertise spans the full spectrum of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation, payroll, benefits, and training and development. In his most recent role in the construction industry, he led HR strategy and operations, improving workforce stability, reducing organizational risk, and enhancing employee engagement and consistency across the company. His previous experience in the nonprofit and higher education sectors further demonstrates his ability to implement impactful HR initiatives that elevate employee satisfaction and drive organizational effectiveness. Brandon holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, both from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. His early career in higher education, including roles at Montgomery College and University of Maryland, laid a strong foundation in employee development and organizational behavior. Brandon is dedicated to fostering inclusive workplaces where employees feel respected and empowered. He turns feedback into practical strategies that strengthen culture and support organizational goals.
