Role Description

The K12 Construction Project Manager will manage all aspects of small to mid-size ($500K - $30 mil.) construction projects on the client site including design, construction, and commissioning efforts ensuring project quality, scheduling, and budgeting goals are achieved.

Your Salary: $100,000 – $125,00

• Manage full construction project lifecycle, from initial project planning phases through completion of construction.

• Meet with clients, architects, engineers and other design personnel to establish project plans, budgets and schedules.

• Coordinate construction project resources and tracks project progress against established timelines and schedules.

• Ensure work is completed on time, within budget and to specification.

• Act as a liaison between the client, end-user agency and project team members regarding changes or problems.

• Select, negotiate with, and coordinate work of vendors, contractors, or sub-contractors.

• Responsible for material management and deliver scheduling tasks in support of assigned projects.

• Track project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators and prepares and delivers reports to management.

• Provide project contract administration, reviews vendor invoices and change orders.

• Review change orders from all construction projects and assesses their impact on the client’s goals and objectives

• Assist regional directors with bid and contract planning

• Assesses bid specifications and probability of completion under stated timeline.

• Review and verify submitted applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects.

• Provide functional direction over areas of responsibility, including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant construction project management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles
  • Understanding of all project delivery methods including Design/Bid/Build, Design/Assist and Design/Build delivery methods
  • Ability to manage multiple/simultaneous projects
  • Experience in working in fast paced environment with an ability to work independently with little oversight
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Professional/Bluebeam and other software as needed for essential project management tasks

Skills and Competencies

• PMP, CCM or other relevant certification(s)

• Previous experience in K-12 projects

• Experience working with design-build delivery method with GMPs
