Michael Carter, CCM

Mr. Carter has more than 20 years of experience and has focused his career on the oversight, design, and construction management of educational, federal, institutional and commercial facilities.
Mr. Carter has been with McKissack for over six years and has more than 20 years of experience in the AEC industry. He has managed some of McKissack’s largest projects, such as: MGM National Harbor, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, and the DC Department of General Services’- Project Management Services for District of Columbia Public Schools. Mr. Carter has expertise in project management, programming, and space management as well as departmental and institutional budgets, cost estimation of programs scheduling, and risk management. He possesses excellent communication skills and proven experience working and building consensus with stakeholder groups. Additionally, Mr. Carter developed and implemented procedures and best practices for multiple large capital programs in excess of $1B including MGM National Harbor Casino Complex, Ronald Reagan National Airport Terminal Expansion and District of Columbia Public Schools/DC Department of General Services School Modernizations. He has the proven ability to deliver projects on time and on-budget for programs in excess of $1B.
