Jose Valcarcel

Prior to joining Mckissack & McKissack Jose served as Director of Architecture and Engineering at Howard University. His mission is to plan and build projects that provide sustainable and pleasant experiences to its users and can contribute immensely to their community. His expertise in theater design and historic preservation made him the lead designer in several projects throughout the country including the post hurricane Katrina revitalization of the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. He brings a love for the built environment along with an understanding of building design concepts to every creative endeavor.
