Nijah Barley

He currently serves as the IT Manager at McKissack & McKissack, where he oversees technology operations, advises on IT strategies, and ensures seamless digital transformation initiatives. Previously, Nijah worked as a Senior Information Technology Solutions Advisor at McKinsey & Company, where he advised on firm applications to enhance client service outcomes and managed technology relationships across four Mid-Atlantic regional offices. In this role, he led impactful projects such as transitioning 1,500 colleagues to Zoom readiness during the COVID-19 pandemic and overseeing tech upgrades for office renovations. Prior to that, Nijah worked as a Systems Analyst at McKissack & McKissack, where he managed Active Directory, onboarded employees, and ensured seamless technology operations. He played a key role in migrating multiple offices to Microsoft Office 365, implementing a unified communications system, and establishing company-wide security practices. Nijah began his IT career as Desktop Support Lead at Howard University ETS Desktop Support, managing a team of five IT staff to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and set up computer workstations for faculty and staff. His technical expertise includes enterprise technology software such as the Microsoft Azure/365 Tech Stack, ServiceNow, Slack, Zoom, SmartDeploy, Hyper-V, and Matterport. Nijah is also committed to community service, advocating for college-bound youth, volunteering at Martha’s Kitchen, and supporting initiatives around financial empowerment. In his free time, he enjoys basketball and staying informed on the latest in technology and innovation.
