The 36,900-square-foot facility is a hub designed to bring federal, state, and local agencies together under one roof to coordinate responses to crises of any scale. McKissack managed the design and construction of this $40 million design-build project, working closely with county leaders on scheduling, safety, and budget to deliver a state-of-the-art Emergency Operations Center.

The building consists of a 16,000-square-foot secure area for emergency operations, alongside a 9,000-square-foot warehouse with seven vehicle bays and support systems. The center will enhance protection and resilience efforts in the region, fortifying the county’s ability to manage anything from severe weather events to mass-casualty incidents and public health emergencies.

Oftentimes, it’s the landmarks and stadiums that draw the world's attention. McKissack & McKissack also recognizes how important it is to proactively engineer resilient systems and infrastructure that keep communities safe when the unexpected happens. This center is a representation of that work.

Thank you to the DFW-area leaders in attendance for the ribbon cutting and every partner who helped bring this Emergency Operations Center to life. Our team takes pride in delivering a facility that this community can depend on.
