We are so proud to announce that our Founder & CEO, Deryl McKissack, has been recognized on Forbes’ 50 over 50 list!
The 2025 Class of 50 Over 50 celebrates 200 women who are redefining what success looks like later in life. The list is divided into four categories: Lifestyle, Impact, Innovation, and Investment, with 50 honorees in each. Deryl is featured in the Impact category for building one of the largest African American-led AEC firms in the country. As it says:
“Take any major African American institution or monument—Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, Obama Presidential Center, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial—and McKissack & McKissack was likely connected to the construction or design, with Deryl McKissack at the helm. As the fifth generation in her family of builders and architects, she’s the CEO of one of the largest African American-led firms in the country. She manages over $15 billion in projects nationwide.”
Selected through a rigorous nomination and vetting process, the list spans entrepreneurs, artists, and leaders across dozens of industries.
