The McKissack & McKissack team earned another win as we continue our milestone 35th year!

McKissack & McKissack was named to the Washington Business Journal’s 2026 list of the 75 Fastest Growing Companies in Greater Washington, an honor based on three consecutive years of revenue growth, among other factors.

Growth isn’t something anyone hands you in business. McKissack & McKissack has earned our place as an award-winning AEC firm by delivering complex and consequential work, and doing it with excellence. Our footprint across the Greater Washington region stretches from cultural and educational institutions to the civic landmarks and infrastructure that help define this city.

Dery McKissack, Founder and CEO, said "I think back to one of McKissack & McKissack’s earliest turning points, the night in 1996 when the U.S. Treasury Building caught fire, and we were the only firm with a direct contract in place to answer the call. That moment, which was the result of two years of relentless persistence, helped put us on the map in D.C. Three decades later, that same determination continues to fuel this firm."

Our growth in Greater Washington over these past few years has been a tremendous source of pride. To name a few:

• Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health, the first new full-service hospital in D.C. in 25 years
• Modernizing educational facilities across the District so our students have world-class places to learn
• Advancing major expansions at DCA and IAD airports through our partnership with MWAA
• And one of our most recent announcements: the Washington Commanders have selected District PM Alliance, of which McKissack & McKissack is a proud partner, to serve as owner’s project manager for the New Commanders Stadium at the RFK campus

Still, we have made it a point to grow with intention. Winning the work is one thing, but we have also been working diligently to protect the culture at McKissack & McKissack that earns our clients’ trust and keeps us hungry enough to keep expanding in our markets. Most importantly, we have invested in the people who make this growth possible. This award belongs to all of the team members.
