Texas Woman's Unviversity New Student Union at Hubbard Hall
McKissack provided program management services to the Texas Woman's University for a new student union at Hubbard Hall on the Denton campus.
Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Denton, TX, though co-educational since 1994, remains the largest state-supported university for women in the U.S. To serve its growing student body of 15,000 across three campuses, TWU has renovated and expanded the Student Union at Hubbard Hall. Originally built in the 1970s, the updated 130,000-square-foot facility now offers enhanced food services, conference and meeting rooms, retail spaces, a theater, lounges, academic and administrative support, and areas for student organizations. McKissack led a tri-lateral project team, managing the logistics, construction activities on an active campus, and coordinating with design and engineering consultants. As the program manager, McKissack was responsible for ensuring the project’s quality and standards, providing project management throughout the construction phase, and handling pre-construction services such as project scheduling, financial management, cost control, value engineering, permitting, design reviews, and stormwater management.
