McKissack was selected for a Consent Decree that requires the repair and rehabilitation of sanitary sewers.
As part of the Program Management Team selected by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), McKissack managed all consultant and contractor activities, developed contract documents and specifications for 21 basins, and assisted the WSSC project managers in completing the project, per the schedule and budget. The project was divided into three parts: roads, environmentally sensitive areas, and laterals. The firm was also responsible for providing field inspections of manhole and sewer assets, as well as program management of asset repair, replacement, and rehabilitation for WSSC since 2005. Additional services have included scheduling, assisting with and coordinating permits, providing field inspection of ongoing work, public outreach, writing specifications, and evaluating cost and technical proposals from contractors.
