DART-Cotton Belt Regional Rail
McKissack & McKissack (McKissack) as a subconsultant to WSP/AZ&B was selected by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Authority to provide program management owner’s representation (PMOR). Additionally McKissack is providing project management and construction inspection services.
The Silver Line is DART’s new 26-mile commuter line that will extend from the DFW Airport and provide service to the cities of Grapevine, Coppell, Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and Plano. The new line will also interface with three existing LRT lines: The Red/Orange Lines in Richardson/Plano, the Green Line in Carrollton and the Orange Line at DFW Airport. In addition, the project would connect to the Fort Worth Transportation Authority TEXRail Regional Rail Line to Fort Worth and provide access to the DFW Airport Skylink People Mover. McKissack assists with the design-build or other alternative delivery systems, as well as helps with the final determination of delivery system for the program.
As part of this team, McKissack represents DART’s interests and assists the Authority in developing its Cotton Belt Regional Rail Program and provides oversight throughout the procurement, award, design, construction, vehicle acquisition and initiation of revenue service of rail projects, within budget and time constraints identified by the Authority.
