The Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor is the primary north/south link in the planned Los Angeles transit system. This important link will connect existing transit lines, such as the Metro Green Line, or future lines, such as Expo Light Rail Transit and the proposed transit connection to Los Angeles International Airport. McKissack oversaw the development of an enhanced urban design, landscape, and community linkages plan. The plan included: station urban design, alignment landscape and streetscape design, and station area planning and community linkages. Additional responsibilities included: alternative design studies, alignment design, community impact investigation, urban design integration, environmental signage and graphics, and joint use/joint development opportunities.
