Guaranteed Rate Field Major League Baseball Stadium
McKissack provided construction inspection, procurement, bid management, and document control services for the lounge.
Guaranteed Rate Field, home to the Chicago White Sox and operated by the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, seats over 40,000 and has undergone several upgrades to improve fan experience. Among these is the 314-seat Scout Lounge behind home plate, which provides VIP amenities and unique views for fans. After delivering the Scott Lounge project on time and on budget, McKissack was retained to manage all the remaining capital improvement and capital maintenance projects. McKissack also was tasked with coordinating all construction activities between ISFA, the Chicago White Sox, Architect of Record, and other contractors. McKissack managed several projects at Guaranteed Rate Field, including: • Scout Lounge • 35th Street Development • Ramp Electric Replacement • Chicago White Sox Hydrotherapy Facility • Architectural Translucent Wall Panel Repair • Exterior Façade Repairs • Convertible Suites & Restrooms • Chiller Replacement Phase I & Phase II • Pedestrian Ramp Renovations • Air Handling Unit Field Upgrades • Waste & Vent Piping Replacement • Waterproofing Repairs
