McKissack provided interior design services at Honda Aircraft’s world headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Honda Aircraft Company, Inc. (Honda Aircraft), a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., has developed a prototype HondaJet and is slated to manufacture and market the production version of the aircraft. As the lead interior design architect, McKissack was responsible for coordinating the interior design group and working closely with Honda Aircraft as a unified team in order to find not only the right solutions but implement them effectively. The design approach embraced the direct participation of Honda Aircraft and its representatives as a central ingredient of this project’s success. The goal of this creative process was to provide personal service to Honda Aircraft, while giving it the means to realize its goals. This approach stemmed from a commitment to design excellence.
