Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) manages programs, plans, designs, and supervises the implementation of a variety of capital improvement projects across its airport system, which includes Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Van Nuys Airport (VNY) and LAWA’s land holdings in Palmdale, California (PMD). To effectively deliver and support the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), LAWA obtains the services of specialized consultants through task order services contracts to augment LAWA and City staff on a non-permanent basis and to provide expertise and specialty services not readily available through current staffing levels. Capital projects at LAWA vary greatly in scope and complexity and can range in program services, including, but not limited to, project management, construction management, project controls, inspection, testing, and additional professional services. As a subconsultant, McKissack has been selected to provide professional services projects as needed under the LAWA Program Services Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) program until 2030.
