Baltimore Treatment and Therapeutic

The new Baltimore Therapeutic Treatment Center (BTTC) is a 17-acre, state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility that offers a comprehensive care model for delivering timely and quality mental health, medical, substance abuse, and social services. The specialized facility will provide mental health and substance use treatment services and care to nonviolent offenders upon entry into the criminal justice system. This project is at the forefront of providing medical and psychological services for at-risk residents of Baltimore, decreasing the need for a revolving-door approach to detention centers, and ushering in a modern approach to health and rehabilitation. The BTTC is envisioned to provide a new concept of care through a community-oriented, treatment-focused facility with an emphasis on medical and mental healthcare. McKissack is currently providing pre-construction services including scheduling services for the review and management of the master program schedule, as well as providing analysis for the detailed design schedule. McKissack is tasked with providing CPM schedule analysis for the design and construction schedule, as well as any review and mitigation of key milestone delays. McKissack is leading the construction constructability analysis of the project and oversees the project cost management aspect as well as providing general technical and business assistance. Recently, McKissack conducted a restacking analysis due to the designers not meeting the program analysis. McKissack developed 2 options that reduced costs between $26 and $32M.
