WSSC Metallic Pipe Condition Assessment
As Washington’s suburban water utility faced aging and corroded pipes, McKissack evaluated and recommended advanced technologies for water main assessment.
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is developing a Condition Assessment Program for metallic water mains. The specific tasks include recommending pipeline condition assessment technologies in leak detection, air/gas pockets, pipe wall deterioration, corrosion, structural integrity and soil or material condition surrounding the pipe.
