These three National Capital Revitalization Corporation (NCRC) projects are in prime locations of Columbia Heights in the District of Columbia with easy access to metro and retail. Acting as the Owner’s Representative, McKissack & McKissack was responsible for monitoring the Limited Direct Associates agreement between the developer and NCRC, overseeing the contractor’s schedules, budgets, and change orders, and ensuring the overall safety and quality of construction. Site visits and daily reports, among other measures, further guaranteed quality assurance/quality control. The Barcelona is a high-end, 5-story, 30-unit condominium, with 20% of the units set aside for affordable/senior housing. With nearly 20,000 SF of neighborhood retail, Kenyon Square is a luxury, 8-level, 153-unit condominium, with 20% set aside for affordable/senior housing. Located next door, Victory Heights shares nearly 20,000 SF of neighborhood retail.
