Baltimore Gas and Electric Company Headquarters Office Renovation
McKissack provided interior design, project management, and construction management services for the renovation of Baltimore Gas and Electric Company’s (BGE) headquarters at 110 West Fayette Street in Baltimore.
Our firm led renovations of the 12th and 13th floors as part of BGE’s broader initiative to transform its 1964 headquarters into a modern, flexible workplace responsive to evolving organizational needs.
The 13th floor was fully renovated into a 9,000‑square‑foot executive conference center, featuring a state‑of‑the‑art boardroom seating 30 with advanced teleconferencing and presentation capabilities. Flexible design elements, including an operable glass wall, allow the boardroom, prefunction area, and service spaces to function as a cohesive, adaptable environment that supports executive meetings and large events.
Renovations to the 12th floor created a prototype workplace design to be replicated across the remaining floors of the building. Public circulation was reorganized to maximize daylighting and views of Baltimore’s skyline, while new mechanical systems and exterior glazing improved energy performance and occupant comfort. McKissack also provided furniture, fixtures, and equipment design; construction documentation and administration; LEED certification support; and full project management, delivering a scalable, high‑performance workplace solution for BGE.
