MGM National Harbor
McKissack was the project manager for MGM National Harbor—a planned destination casino resort in Prince George’s County.
As an integral member of the development team, McKissack was responsible for managing the day-to-day details and complex logistics for the duration of this ambitious project. The firm managed project schedule development, administered the cost model, provided budget management, and facilitated diversity management during planning and construction. The 958,836 SF casino resort encompasses approximately 23 acres and comprise of a 300-suite glass tower luxury hotel, casino featuring 3,600 slot machines and 140 table games, 1,200-seat concert theater, high-end branded retail, 35,000 SF of meeting space, and 4,700 parking spaces. Opened December 2016, MGM National Harbor is projected to draw roughly 17,500 visitors per day and is Maryland's sixth casino.
